Jamie has 20 years of experience in employee benefits planning, and leads Provider Group’s Employee Benefits Practice. He works with clients to design and implement cost effective, long-term benefits strategies, while balancing the employee’s demand for quality plans.
Jamie works with businesses and non-profit organizations to develop a variety of traditional and non-traditional ways to approach employee benefits. He specializes in alternative funding arrangements for the purchase of healthcare and voluntary employee benefit planning, and has both his Health Insurance Associate (HIA) and Managed Healthcare Professional Insurance (MHP) designations. Jamie takes a hands-on approach when working with clients, and in addition to developing employee benefits programs that are cost effective and easy to administer, he stays in close contact with clients to keep them informed of legislative changes that will affect their business.
Jamie is a frequent speaker about Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance and how to prepare for a Department of Labor (DOL) Audit. Especially with the ever changing legislation, his guidance is sought after.
Jamie was previously Director of Worksite Marketing at Benefits Unlimited, a USI company, and was considered one of New England’s foremost experts in worksite marketing. He developed and ran one of the most successful voluntary benefits programs for RI and MA based employers. Jamie’s experience includes working with municipalities, not for profit organizations, unions, and Native American tribal governments.
Jamie serves as a member of the State of RI Essential Health Benefits Committee, a member of Rhode Island Business Healthcare Advisors Council, and a member of National Association of Health Underwriters. He is a graduate of Rhode Island College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a specialty in secondary education.
